Sun Yu, Chairman of the HKAB, underlined their commitment to preserving customer privacy and guarding credit card transactions' security.

"The HKAB is dedicated to protecting customers' personal information and endorsing industry-wide security measures. Through this video release, we bolster our efforts to inform and educate the public on credit card fraud prevention. Furthermore, we collaborate with member banks to discuss strategies for handling fraud cases and explore advanced technology applications to fortify credit card protection. By working closely with all stakeholders, our aim is to effectively thwart credit card fraud."

The video was first aired on TV on the 23rd of November and is accessible on the HKAB's website, YouTube channel, and Facebook page.

Upcoming Offline Campaigns

The HKAB plans to launch a series of offline campaigns, consisting of poster displays and giveaways, to boost public awareness of credit card fraud prevention methods. The rollout date for these offline activities is yet to be announced.
