Andorra Tightens Anti-Money Laundering Laws to Meet International Standards

The Principality of Andorra has made combating money laundering and terrorist financing a top priority, with regular legislative updates to reflect evolving international standards. The country’s efforts are guided by its Monetary Agreement with the European Union, which obliges it to transpose EU regulations.
Compliance with International Standards
Andorra is subject to regular assessments by the Council of Europe’s Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism (Moneyval). To ensure effective implementation of international standards, Andorra must implement recommendations from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
