The investigation began when a representative from the affected financial institution filed a complaint with the authorities on June 2. The complainant claimed that unknown individuals had illegally withdrawn a significant sum of money, resulting in material damage of 8,028,289 soms to the bank.

Criminal Case Launched


A criminal case was subsequently launched under Article 209 “Fraud” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Police investigators discovered that one of the detained suspects was an employee of the bank at the time of the alleged crime.
