Program Overview


The eight-week program is designed to equip investigators with the necessary knowledge and tools to effectively investigate tax-related crimes, such as money laundering, bribery, and fraud. The training will cover topics including:

  • Sources of information
  • Investigative techniques

Modules and Curriculum


The program is divided into two modules:

Module 1: Financial Investigation Techniques (4 weeks)

Module 2: Criminal Investigation Techniques and Penal Crimes (4 weeks)

Practical and Hands-on Training

Requirements for Implementation


Prior to implementation, the Tax Administration has identified several areas that need to be addressed, including:

Job Opportunities


The Tax Administration is seeking highly qualified applicants for Investigator positions in the newly formed Office of Tax Investigations. The minimum qualifications include:

  • University degree from an accredited college or university, or four years of related professional experience
  • Citizenship of El Salvador
  • Being at least 21 years old

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Experience in tax or law enforcement operations
  • Degree in Law, Accounting, or Public Administration
