RAMALLAH - The Palestinian Authority has launched its Code of Conduct and Ethics, a comprehensive framework aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and integrity in government institutions. Background

The Palestinian Authority has been working towards implementing a more robust anti-corruption framework since the early 2000s. In 2002, it launched its first anti-corruption plan, followed by the adoption of several laws aimed at tackling corruption and illicit enrichment. The most recent anti-corruption law, passed in 2010, established the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) as a multi-functional body responsible for enforcing anti-corruption legislation.
