In a bid to ensure that its operations are in compliance with regulations and statutes, OM Zimbabwe has outlined key responsibilities for its Compliance Officer. The role is crucial in developing and executing a comprehensive compliance strategy aligned to the company’s Enterprise Risk Management Strategy.

Key Responsibilities of the Compliance Officer

  • Aggregating, maintaining, and monitoring risk-based compliance plans and programs that cover the entire scope of regulations governing OM Zimbabwe’s business operations
  • Implementing group policies and standard requirements pertaining to risk management
  • Challenging and ensuring that local teams implement appropriate risk-based compliance management processes and procedures
  • Acting as a Change Agent to embed group policies and compliance plans within the organization

Additional Responsibilities

  • Identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting significant compliance risks across all group companies
  • Ensuring adherence to anti-money legislation
  • Facilitating the development of appropriate compliance risk response strategies by OM Zimbabwe’s local teams
  • Assisting with compliance-related audit findings and resolutions

Requirements for the Role
