ZIMBABWE: COMPLIANCE OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCED

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing applications for insurance policies
  • Reviewing and making follow-ups on insurance claims
  • Verifying the accuracy of insurance records
  • Drafting legal and regulatory documentation
  • Liaising with various stakeholders, including:
    • Insurance companies
    • Legal professionals
    • Regulatory bodies

Additionally, the Compliance Officer will be responsible for:

  • Tracking progress on legal cases
  • Drafting communications with third parties
  • Collating and filing supplier Know-Your-Customer (KYC) documentation
  • Performing administrative duties as assigned by management

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Laws degree from a reputable institution
  • Be registered legal practitioners with at least two years’ experience in:
    • Insurance law
    • Commercial law
    • Contract drafting and management
  • Experience in both civil and labour law is highly desirable
