Job Overview

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has announced a job opening for a Compliance Officer in Afghanistan. As part of NRC’s Internal Risk and Compliance unit, this role will serve as a key component of the compliance team.

Responsibilities

As a Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitor and evaluate daily tasks of program, finance, HR/administration, and logistics staff to ensure compliance with NRC policies and procedures
  • Provide anti-corruption, transparency, and cost-efficiency focus in all processes

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Previous experience in compliance, audit, and finance, preferably from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Some knowledge of English
  • At least 3 years’ previous work experience in Compliance, Finance, and Audit with humanitarian/recovery context or international NGOs
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent (MBA or professional certification preferred)
  • Considerable knowledge of policies, procedures, regulations, and laws
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
