Lesotho: Compliance Officer Vacancy at Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation

In its pursuit of excellence in governance and accountability, Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation Lesotho has announced a vacancy for a Compliance Officer.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning, performing, and reporting on internal audits to ensure that financial controls and other control procedures are properly implemented across various projects.
  • Reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, testing internal controls, and promoting a culture of risk management compliance throughout the organization.
  • Conducting quality assurance reviews of important program documentation.
  • Providing guidance to senior management.
  • Mentoring staff on fraud prevention techniques.
  • Developing compliance tools such as quick reference guides and checklists.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Auditing or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in program operations, financial management, contracts & grants administration, program management, compliance, or business experience.
  • Experience with USAID and international donors is highly desirable.

The successful candidate should also have:

  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Strong overall management acumen.
  • The ability to align governance, risk, and localization requirements with the organization’s work environment.
