In its pursuit of excellence in governance and accountability, Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation Lesotho has announced a vacancy for a Compliance Officer.
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Planning, performing, and reporting on internal audits to ensure that financial controls and other control procedures are properly implemented across various projects.
- Reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, testing internal controls, and promoting a culture of risk management compliance throughout the organization.
- Conducting quality assurance reviews of important program documentation.
- Providing guidance to senior management.
- Mentoring staff on fraud prevention techniques.
- Developing compliance tools such as quick reference guides and checklists.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Auditing or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in program operations, financial management, contracts & grants administration, program management, compliance, or business experience.
- Experience with USAID and international donors is highly desirable.
The successful candidate should also have:
- Excellent computer skills.
- Strong overall management acumen.
- The ability to align governance, risk, and localization requirements with the organization’s work environment.
