Compliance Officer Job Opportunity at Samoa International Finance Authority
The Samoa International Finance Authority (SIFA) is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Compliance Officer in its Compliance Division.
Job Responsibilities
As a key member of the team, the Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that licensed entities comply with relevant laws and regulatory standards, including anti-money laundering and combating financing of terrorism. This includes:
- Conducting research, analysis, and assessments
- Reviewing quarterly and prudential returns, audited financial accounts, and recommending capital adequacy requirements and prudent business practices
- Carrying out onsite inspections to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and codes, as well as sound business operations
The successful candidate will also be required to:
- Consider all applications made by licensees
- Handle queries from licensees and overseas regulatory authorities
- Report any areas of concern
- Carry out enforcement measures for non-compliance
