Job Description

Responsibilities


Some key responsibilities of the Compliance Officer include:

  • Fostering a proactive culture of compliance within DCSLL
  • Advising management and the board on new and impending statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Monitoring and analyzing developing trends and changes in regulatory compliance
  • Conducting reviews of policies, procedures, and other materials for compliance
  • Ensuring compliance with national regulatory regulations, including the Money Laundering (Prevention) Act No. 8 of 2011, and others
  • Providing regular reporting to the Board of Directors and oversight committees

Experience and Qualifications


The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field, as well as certification training in Anti-Money Laundering (e.g. ACAMS). The successful candidate should have at least three years of experience in compliance, auditing, risk management or banking.
