CARE International has announced the creation of a new role for a Financial Institution Compliance Officer, designed to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards while supporting the organization’s humanitarian efforts.
Job Responsibilities
As a Financial Institution Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting the Finance and Grants Manager in preparing budgets, conducting cost allocations, and providing internal reporting
- Working on grants operations and financial reporting, including reviewing transactions lists from PPS and advising on spending status
- Ensuring compliance with donor requirements
- Proposing and preparing adjustments entries
- Coordinating with accounting units
- Supporting field internal audit visits
- Reviewing compliance issues in all field offices
- Participating in selecting auditors
Qualifications
To qualify for this role, applicants must have:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably at NGOs or academic organizations
- A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Arabic, and English (essential)
- Knowledge of other languages (an asset)
