Compliance Officer Responsibilities in Uganda
Uganda’s non-profit sector is seeking highly skilled compliance officers to oversee the contractual and financial compliance of sub-recipients. The AIDS Support Organization (TASO Uganda) has two full-time vacancies for Compliance Officers, responsible for ensuring timely meeting of donor contractual and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a minimum academic qualification of a first degree in B.Com (Accounting) or BBA, plus a professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA or ACA. A minimum experience of three years in grant management and compliance is required, with proficiency in English language and experience working with institutional donors like The Global Fund, CDC, USAID, and UN.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance Review Plans: Developing and implementing comprehensive compliance review plans for sub-recipients
- Donor Compliance: Ensuring compliance with donor policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
- Technical Guidance: Coordinating all compliance activities and providing technical guidance to staff and partners
- Audit Reviews: Participating in audits and compliance reviews, including developing audit plans and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding findings
- Contract Review: Reviewing contracts, purchase orders, and sub-grants to ensure compliance with donor requirements and applicable policies
