The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating existing and evolving healthcare and privacy compliance, ethics, and related legislation and regulations in the region.

Key Responsibilities


The Compliance and Legal Officer will have several key responsibilities:

  • Spreading awareness of Roche’s Code of Conduct: Regular employee training and awareness sessions to ensure that employees understand and adhere to the company’s code of conduct.
  • Conducting anti-bribery compliance programs: Applicable to export markets, defining the implementation of anti-bribery prevention and detection policies, controls, and best practices.
  • Performing distributor compliance training: Due diligence, controls, and audits to ensure that distributors are compliant with Roche’s code of conduct and applicable laws.
  • Acting as a contact point for Export teams: Providing guidance on compliance matters to export teams.
  • Contributing to internal investigations: Conducting interviews, desk reviews, and recommending disciplinary measures in case of non-compliance with the Code of Conduct.

Experience and Qualifications


The ideal candidate will have:

  • A law degree or equivalent Bar Exam qualification.
  • Experience in legal and compliance matters.
  • Familiarity with French anti-bribery legislation, particularly Loi Sapin II.
  • Proficiency in French and Arabic languages, with English being a plus.
