Acted, an international non-governmental organization, has been providing humanitarian aid and support to vulnerable populations around the world for over 30 years. As of February 24th, 2022, Acted deployed an emergency team in Moldova to support those affected by the conflict in Ukraine.
Job Overview
In this challenging context, Acted Moldova is seeking a Country Transparency and Compliance Officer to ensure compliance with organizational guidelines, donor regulations, and national laws in the Republic of Moldova. The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling the implementation of Acted’s processes through risk-based audits, developing action plans to mitigate identified risks, and providing technical support to country staff.
Key Responsibilities
Audit and Compliance
- Conduct internal audits using a risk management approach to ensure compliance with organizational guidelines and national regulations
- Provide technical support for external audits and due diligence preparations
Training and Development
- Contribute to the development of training sessions, lessons learned, and best practices
Risk Management and Fraud Prevention
- Participate in minimizing the risk of fraud and corruption by ensuring adherence to Acted’s FLATS procedures, Code of Conduct, and Anti-Fraud Policy
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A postgraduate diploma in Audit, Finance, International Relations, Law, or a related field
- 1-2 years of previous work experience in audit, finance, logistics, administration, or law
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure
