In an effort to ensure compliance with donor regulations and government rules, GOAL Haiti is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that GOAL Haiti’s programs are fully compliant with GOAL, donor, and government regulations.
Job Summary
The Compliance Officer will work closely with all departments, including programs, finance, logistics, and HR, to ensure compliance with GOAL’s policies and procedures, as well as donor and government regulations. The role is based in Port-au-Prince but will require regular travel to field sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance Monitoring: Stay informed of and ensure adherence to GOAL procedures and policies in relation to Logistics, Finance, HR, and Programs.
- Donor Compliance: Understand and ensure adherence to Donor rules and regulations in relation to Logistics, Finance, HR, and Programs.
- Grant Management: Manage grant files in both soft copy and hard copy for all grants.
- Audit Support: Facilitate donor/external audits and ensure that recommendations given by HQ internal and external/donor auditors are implemented accordingly.
- Capacity Building: Provide training, capacity building, and support to GOAL staff on GOAL’s policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Sub-Grant Administration: Oversee sub-grant administration, including conducting pre-award assessments, implementation, extensions, compliance monitoring, and reporting.
Requirements
- A degree in finance, compliance, or a related area of study with a minimum of three years of related work experience in administration, finance, compliance, or audit.
- Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in French, both verbally and in writing; English is an advantage.
- Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- IT Literacy: Ability to learn new systems and IT software quickly and effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Organized and flexible, with the ability to respond to changing priorities and good attention to detail.
