Senior Compliance Officer Role Crucial for Nepal’s Disaster Risk Management Project
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has launched a recruitment drive to fill the critical role of Senior Compliance Officer for its Tayar Nepal Improved Disaster Risk Management Project. The project aims to strengthen Nepal’s national and municipal institutions responsible for disaster risk reduction, preparedness, and response.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Compliance Officer will play a vital role in:
- Reviewing backup documents for internal audit purposes, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations and the Field Operations Manual (FOM)
- Conducting internal audits of HR and Finance documents
- Providing support to project staff
- Ensuring all required backup documentation is uploaded to DAI’s file management system
Requirements
The successful candidate must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in finance/business or a related field
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in auditing or a related area
- Familiarity with USAID rules and regulations (highly desirable)
Work Environment
The Senior Compliance Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Finance and Administration and be based in Kathmandu, Nepal for approximately 120 days starting June 15 to November 30, 2024.
