Key Responsibilities
The Compliance Officer will be responsible for:
- Internal Audit Management: Implementing the approved national internal audit plan, conducting and supervising internal audits, and providing technical support to mitigate high risks identified.
- External Audit: Ensuring the preparation of external audits and due diligence, reviewing and approving draft audit reports, and facilitating coordination with external auditors.
- Training Sessions/Lessons Learned/Best Practices: Providing practical training on ACTED procedures, coaching and mentoring compliance staff, and contributing to proactive dissemination of knowledge gained through audit activities.
- Transparency/Compliance Management: Minimizing risk of fraud and corruption by ensuring adherence to ACTED FLATS procedures, promoting ACTED’s anti-fraud policy, and maintaining the Fraud Register.
- Team Leadership: Updating organization charts, conducting recruitments and appraisals, training and building capacities of compliance staff, and participating in country-level coordination meetings.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Postgraduate diploma in Finance/Audit or International Relations
- 1-2 years of previous work experience in a relevant position
- Experience in finance, logistics, administration, with proven leadership and management capabilities
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with flexibility in cultural and organizational terms
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent English language skills (written and spoken)
Conditions
The successful candidate will be offered:
- Salary defined by the ACTED salary grid depending on education level, expertise, security level, and experience
- Living allowance of $300 USD
