Job Description

The ZOA International, a non-governmental organization operating in Sudan, has announced a vacancy for a Senior Compliance Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with donor grant requirements and internal policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with internal and external auditors
  • Review financial and audit reports
  • Prepare donor and internal financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with donor grant requirements and internal policies and procedures
  • Identify internal constraints that undermine compliance within the organization and propose corrective measures
  • Work closely with the program team to manage donor grants and provide financial support and training to program and partner staff

Requirements

  • University degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • At least four years’ experience in financial management, internal control and related monitoring processes and systems
  • Professional accountancy qualification is an added advantage
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
