Compliance Officer Role Crucial in Anguilla’s Financial Sector
Job Description
In a bid to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risk, GraceKennedy Money Services has advertised for a Compliance Officer to oversee its operations in Anguilla. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s compliance programs in St Kitts & Nevis and Anguilla, including:
- Regulatory Reporting: Ensuring timely submission of reports to relevant authorities
- Training: Developing and conducting training programs for employees, agents, and customer service representatives
- Monitoring: Continuous monitoring and analysis to satisfy statutory requirements for compliance, anti-money laundering, and anti-terrorism
The Compliance Officer will also be responsible for:
- Developing, initiating, maintaining, and revising policies and procedures for the operation of the compliance program
- Identifying potential areas of vulnerability and implementing corrective action plans
- Maintaining records of training conducted
- Ensuring timely licensing of agent locations
- Designing and developing risk plans
- Reporting to senior management on risk status
Ideal Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate should possess:
- A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (e.g. finance, accounting, law)
- ITACAMS Certification or ICA designation
- Five years’ experience in a similar capacity
- In-depth knowledge of anti-money laundering legislation and regulatory requirements
- Excellent analytical skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- High-level integrity and ethics
