Bermuda Compliance Officer Needed by Rapidly Growing Insurer

Job Summary

A Bermuda-based Class E reinsurer with offices in Ireland, UK, Belgium, and Luxembourg is seeking a Compliance Officer to join its growing team. The company has completed four acquisitions of European insurance companies in the past year and requires someone with expertise in financial services compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Compliance in providing compliance advice and guidance to embed a compliance culture throughout the business
  • Maintain compliance procedures
  • Develop and achieve annual compliance plans
  • Carry out regular compliance monitoring and reporting
  • Support the business on operational compliance queries
• Identify regulatory incidents and breaches
• Develop training plans
• Deliver compliance training
• Provide support to projects as required

Ideal Candidate Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in financial services, preferably with Solvency II compliance experience
• ICA qualifications or equivalent are preferred
• Must be a team player with the ability to work autonomously
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently under tight deadlines
• Excellent report writing skills
