Compliance Officer Role Crucial in Moldova’s Humanitarian Response

In the wake of the conflict in Ukraine and subsequent displacement of refugees, international humanitarian organization Acted has deployed an emergency team to support those affected in Moldova. As part of its triple mandate as a humanitarian, environmental, and development aid actor, Acted is working tirelessly to provide aid to vulnerable populations across the country.

Key Responsibilities

Acted is now seeking a Country Transparency and Compliance Officer to oversee compliance with its guidelines, donor requirements, best practices, and national regulations in Moldova. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the organization’s processes are implemented effectively and efficiently.

  • Conducting internal audits and implementing the approved national internal audit plan
  • Providing technical support to country staff on implementation of action plans and addressing issues
  • Assisting with external audits and due diligence preparation and follow-up
  • Participating in minimizing risk of fraud and corruption by ensuring adherence to Acted’s FLATS procedures, Code of Conduct, and Anti-Fraud Policy

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold a postgraduate diploma in:

  • Audit
  • Finance
  • International Relations
  • Law or a related field

In addition to strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • Autonomy

Excellent communication and writing skills in English are essential.
