Compliance Officer Sought in Sudan

Job Opportunity

Save the Children International has announced a vacancy for a Risk and Compliance Officer to be based in Sennar, Sudan. The successful candidate will join the organization’s risk management department and play a crucial role in supporting investigations into suspected fraud cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support investigations into suspected fraud cases
  • Ensure timely closure of cases and communicate corrective actions to stakeholders
  • Work closely with the Risk and Compliance Manager to ensure all fraud cases are closed within 90 days and evidence is gathered and documented
  • Prepare targeted awareness sessions based on fraud report trends in the country
  • Implement the annual fraud prevention plan

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support risk management efforts by:
    • Following up on risk mitigations with different risk owners
    • Maintaining an updated tracker of all risk, fraud, and audit findings
    • Providing technical support to field risk committees
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to provide quality PART tools as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, accounting, finance, or a related field
  • At least three years of experience working in:
    • Fraud management
    • Risk management
    • Internal audit
    • Compliance
  • Experience working in large diverse teams and exceptional communication and organizational skills are essential
