Compliance Officer Roles and Responsibilities in Tanzania, United Republic of

The President’s Office Public Service Recruitment Secretariat has announced vacancies for two Compliance Officers at Kilimanjaro Airports Development Company Limited (KADCO) and Marine Services Company Limited (MSCL). As a Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and security management principles and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Safety and Security Management: Carry out ad hoc and monthly safety aerodrome inspections, compile safety general reports quarterly, prepare monthly safety inspection reports and submit on time.
  • Observation and Assessment: Monitor, observe, and survey every aspect of airport operations and functions on a day-to-day basis. Assess the levels of compliance with safety and security management principles and procedures.
  • Data Collection and Record Keeping: Collect hazard data and keep proper records.
  • Investigation and Analysis: Conduct investigation of accidents and incidents. Participate in assessment of safety levels in compliance with standards.
  • Obstacle Limitation Surfaces: Monitor obstacle limitation surfaces.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Law, Business Administration, or Public Administration from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: Certificate in Airport Operations or Safety Management System with three (3) years relevant working experience.
