Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer Vacancy at ILS Fiduciary (BVI) Limited

ILS Fiduciary (BVI) Limited is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company’s operations comply with regulatory requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and Monitor Compliance Measures: Implement and monitor measures, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and standards.
  • Assist Board in Maintaining Policies and Frameworks: Assist the Board in maintaining and updating the Business Risk Policy and Register, as well as the Corporate Governance framework.
  • Review Procedures for Regulatory Compliance: Review consultations and internal procedures to ensure compliance with amended regulatory frameworks.
  • Stay Up-to-Date on Regulatory Updates: Stay abreast of regulatory updates and amendments, identifying necessary changes to internal procedures.

Other duties include:

  • Delivering Anti-Money Laundering Training: Delivering and scheduling Anti-Money Laundering training programs for staff.
  • Maintaining Registers: Maintaining relevant registers in accordance with the Regulatory Code and AML/ CFT legislation.
  • Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) Responsibilities: Acting as MLRO for receiving, logging, and evaluating suspicious transactions.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Liaising with the Financial Services Commission (FSC) on regulatory matters.

Requirements

  • BVI Resident: Must be a BVI resident with relevant qualifications demonstrating an understanding of the regulatory regime.
  • Compliance Experience: 5 years’ experience in a compliance officer/money laundering reporting officer role, preferably within a corporate and trust service provider.
  • Strong Organizational and Communication Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
