Role Overview

As a Financial Institution Compliance Officer, you will report to the Senior Compliance Manager and work closely with the Accounts Management Team to manage the overall account opening, screening, and approval process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Support: Assist customers in opening trading accounts
  • Document Verification: Ensure all documents provided are in line with regulations
  • Translation Services: Translate Vanuatu language to English and vice versa
  • Client Communication: Support clients through emails and tickets
  • Internal Liaison: Liaise with internal teams to produce the best service for clients

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who is residing in Vanuatu or prepared to become a resident upon taking up the role. A minimum of experience/knowledge is required in the financial services sector, with proven management and communication skills.

  • Language Proficiency: Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with cloud-based software and high proficiency in technology
  • Education: Degree in finance, economics, software development, engineering, MBA, or other relevant fields (added advantage)
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Well-versed in the rules and regulations of the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC) and the Vanuatu Financial Intelligence Unit (VFIU)
  • Analytical Skills: Solid analytical and logical thinking
  • Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and problem-solving skills
  • Financial Market Understanding: Good understanding of financial markets, online trading, Forex, leveraged investment, commodities, crypto currencies, stocks, indices, P&L, balance sheet, etc.
