Job Description
The Bank of St Helena Ltd is seeking a skilled Risk and Compliance Manager to join its team for a fixed-term period from November 2023 until March 31, 2024.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile and implement policies that adhere to governing laws, regulations, and policies
- Provide guidance to internal departments on how to meet compliance requirements, with a focus on:
- Anti-money laundering
- Fraud prevention
- Detection
- Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that impact the banking sector
- Advise and train bank staff on compliance procedures
- Lead investigations into suspicious activity
- Recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate closely with both internal and external auditors
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexibility in work demands
- A minimum of two years’ proven experience in a middle management position or relevant experience in:
- Banking/finance
- Auditing
- Risk management
