Compliance Officer Responsibilities in Saint Kitts and Nevis

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and monitor the bank’s Risk and Compliance program
  • Report to the CEO and Risk and Compliance Committee on the status of risk events
  • Periodically review and update the program in light of changes in strategic objectives, legislative and regulatory mandates, international best practices, and internal policies and procedures
  • Develop training programs for employees on Risk and Compliance matters
  • Coordinate with various departments within the bank to manage financial and operational risks
  • Conduct business risk assessments and create reports for regulators
  • Assist with regulatory investigations and queries as the principal point of contact
  • Independently investigate and act on matters related to Risk and Compliance

Requirements


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry, particularly in Risk Management and Compliance. A Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance or a related field is required, with ACAMS and FRM or similar qualifications also necessary.

  • The ability to communicate effectively, work well under pressure, and possess strong problem-solving skills are essential.
