Compliance Officer Job Description in Lesotho: Boliba Savings and Credit Seeks Risk and Compliance Assistant

Boliba Savings and Credit, a leading financial institution in Lesotho, has announced a vacancy for a Risk and Compliance Assistant to join their Legal, Risk and Compliance Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile and submit monthly reports
  • Respond to requests for information from law enforcement agencies in a timely manner
  • Manage the filing of all correspondence originating from the department
  • Produce typed documents
  • Maintain a register of internal and external complaints received by the department

In addition, the successful candidate will:

  • Conduct regular checks across the organization to monitor compliance with policies, laws, regulations, and directives from regulators
  • Improve the status of Know Your Customer (KYC) and document retention

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants should have:

  • A diploma in banking or business administration
  • At least two years’ working experience in banking, insurance, insurance brokerage, or money lending
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
