Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Compliance Officer, the Compliance Officer I will be responsible for:
- Observing compliance activities of tax-exempt eligible companies under the EDC programs
- Conducting site visits and routine audits of beneficiaries
- Maintaining accurate records and examining reports in accordance with EDC rules and regulations
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Maintain accurate records and examine reports in accordance with EDC rules and regulations
- Prepare EDC report cards, generate beneficiary wage analysis reports, and cost-benefit analyses
- Conduct site and oral interviews with beneficiaries
- Assist the Senior Compliance Officer in conducting orientation meetings
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (business administration, accounting, economics)
Experience
- At least 2-3 years of compliance experience
Skills
- Demonstrated communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Education
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Relevant Experience
- Experience or educational background in public speaking, finance, economics, business operations, industry standards, compliance certification, tax accounting, and financial auditing.
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment and requires the ability to lift up to 20 pounds of force. Approximately 25% of work time is spent on travel.
