Job Description

The JESS RM Personal Independence Resources are on the hunt for a Compliance Officer to perform various tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures provided by the Clients’ RM Personal Independence team. This role includes responsibilities such as:

  • Hypercare Preparation and Follow-up: Preparing and following up on hypercare tasks
  • Broker Import Tasks: Importing broker data into our system
  • Scheduling: Scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Managing Hypercare Mailbox: Managing the hypercare mailbox and responding to inquiries
  • Account Statement and Questionnaire Reviews: Reviewing account statements and questionnaires

Reporting Structure

As a Compliance Officer, you will report primarily to the JESS RMPI Assistant Manager but also take direction from other JESS Senior Officers and Senior Specialists Client team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing field professionals with introductory guidance on applicable professional independence standards or routine matters involving professional standards or firm policy
  • Performing basic independence technical research to contribute to the technical guidance and execution of tasks
  • Resolving customer inquiries
  • Sending meeting requests, emails via Outlook, and making telephone calls as needed

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants should:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business from an accredited college or university
  • Have at least 2+ years of work experience in a public accounting firm
  • Knowledge of independence compliance rules and regulations is desirable
  • Accounting/finance knowledge is also desirable
