Compliance Officer Needed for International NGO ACTED in Central African Republic

Job Description

ACTED, a leading international humanitarian and development organization, has been working in the Central African Republic (CAR) for over 8 years to provide emergency relief and support to vulnerable populations. We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team in Bangui.

Responsibilities

As a key member of the Country Transparency and Compliance Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that ACTED’s processes are implemented in compliance with the organization’s guidelines, donor requirements, best practices, and national regulations
  • Conducting internal audits
  • Providing technical support to country staff
  • Contributing to the preparation and follow-up of external audits
  • Participating in minimizing the risk of fraud and corruption by ensuring adherence to ACTED’s FLATS procedures, Code of Conduct, and Anti-Fraud Policy

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing ACTED’s standard guidelines and FLAT System at the capital, area, and partner levels
  • Providing support to mitigate high risks identified during internal audits
  • Participating in training sessions and capacity building for country staff
  • Contributing to lessons learned and process improvement

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A postgraduate diploma in Audit, Finance, International Relations, Law or a related field
  • 1-2 years of previous work experience in Audit (external and/or internal), Finance, Logistics, Administration or Law

Benefits

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary between €1,800 and €2,000 monthly, depending on their level of education and experience. Additionally, they will receive:
