Job Opportunity: Corporate Compliance Officer

A leading organization in Zimbabwe is seeking to fill a key position in its compliance department. The successful candidate will be individually accountable for establishing and embedding compliance within the company, initiating and facilitating corrective action where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a compliance strategy aligned to the organization’s enterprise risk management strategy
  • Aggregate, maintain, and monitor comprehensive risk-based compliance plans and programmes covering all regulations and statutes governing the company’s operations
  • Implement group policies and standard requirements pertaining to risk management
  • Challenge OMLAC (the local subsidiary) to implement appropriate risk-based compliance management processes and procedures
  • Act as a change agent to embed group policies and compliance plans in OMLAC

Compliance Responsibilities

  • Ensure the company identifies, assesses, manages, monitors, and reports significant compliance risks
  • Ensure adherence to and implementation of anti-money legislation
  • Facilitate the development of appropriate compliance risk response strategies by OMLAC
  • Assist with compliance-related audit findings and resolutions

Requirements for Success

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:
