Key Responsibilities

As a member of the UNFPA team in Afghanistan, this specialist will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with donor agreements and financial regulations. The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge of UN rules and regulations and will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the country office in addressing higher risk levels related to financial transactions
  • Providing strategic guidance on procurement processes to ensure compliance with donor agreements and financial regulations

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Over five years of experience in compliance, finance, and procurement, particularly in humanitarian settings
  • Strong writing and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation abilities

  • Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT systems
