Key Responsibilities
As a member of the UNFPA team in Afghanistan, this specialist will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with donor agreements and financial regulations. The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge of UN rules and regulations and will be responsible for:
- Supporting the country office in addressing higher risk levels related to financial transactions
- Providing strategic guidance on procurement processes to ensure compliance with donor agreements and financial regulations
- Identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Over five years of experience in compliance, finance, and procurement, particularly in humanitarian settings
- Strong writing and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation abilities
- Initiative to drive results
- Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT systems
