Compliance Training for Financial Institutions in Seychelles: A Step Towards Global Standards

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) of Seychelles has introduced compliance training scholarships to equip professionals with specialized qualifications necessary to meet local and international regulatory requirements.

Professional Scholarship Initiative

Under this initiative, 50 individuals will be partially sponsored by the FSA to undertake an International Compliance Association (ICA) certificate of their choice from a range of courses designed to address key areas in the non-bank financial services sector. The courses include:

  • Certificate in Compliance
  • AML (Anti-Money Laundering)
  • Financial Crime Prevention
  • Managing Sanction Risk

About the ICA Courses

The ICA is a leading professional body for global regulatory and financial crime compliance professionals, offering self-study courses that can be completed within four weeks or up to three months with access to the ICA platform. The courses will be assessed through a one-hour online multiple-choice exam, with a workshop scheduled during the program.

Eligibility Criteria

Priority will be given to individuals who wish to join the industry. To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be a Seychellois citizen residing in Seychelles
  • Have at least three years of work experience
  • Have good academic and professional records
  • Be proficient in written English skills
  • Be undertaking the course for the first time

Terms and Conditions

Applicants who are successful will be required to contribute 10% towards their course fees and adhere to the terms and conditions of the scholarship. This initiative aims to bridge the gap in regulatory compliance knowledge among professionals in the non-bank financial services sector, ensuring a more competitive and transparent industry.
