Georgia Tech Announces Annual Compliance Training for Employees

The University System of Georgia has announced its annual compliance training program for employees, which is designed to reinforce ethical standards and cybersecurity requirements. The four-part training program will be available starting October 25 and must be completed by all faculty, staff, including Tech Temps, and student employees hired prior to October 1, 2021.

Training Modules

The training modules include:

  • University System of Georgia Ethics Training
  • Information Security/Cybersecurity Training
  • Georgia Tech Foreign Influence Training
  • Research Integrity Training
  • Conflict of Interest Training
  • Conflict of Interest Attestation

Importance of Compliance Training

The program is designed to educate employees on the importance of research integrity, reporting external activities, and navigating foreign influence. This year’s training coincides with Ethics Awareness Week in the fall, marking a new initiative by the university to emphasize the significance of compliance training.

Completion Requirements

Employees who fail to complete all four modules by midnight on November 19 may receive a formal disciplinary notice from the Institute. The training can be completed on desktop or laptop devices and should take approximately 45 minutes to finish. Employees do not have to complete the training in one sitting, as it is designed to accommodate varying schedules.
