Compliance Training for Georgia Tech Employees Now Available
Georgia Tech employees are now required to complete the 2022 Annual Compliance Training, designed to help them exercise sound ethical judgment, act with integrity and transparency, and understand their responsibility for the University System of Georgia’s and the Institute’s policies and compliance obligations.
Who is Required to Complete the Training?
The training is mandatory for all active employees, including:
- Faculty
- Staff
- Tech Temps
- Retired-but-working employees
- Student employees
who were hired on or before October 3, 2022. The modules must be completed starting Monday, October 17.
What’s New in the Training?
This year’s training includes seven new modules:
- Effective Global Engagement
- Export Control and Trade Compliance
- External Activity Reporting and Conflict of Interest/COI Attestation
- Identifying and Responding to Sexual Misconduct
- Data Excellence
- University System of Georgia Ethics Training
- Cybersecurity Awareness Training 2022/Your Role: Internet Security and You
How to Complete the Training?
The training can be completed on a desktop or laptop, and should take up to 2.5 hours to complete all modules. Employees are not required to finish the training in one sitting and have until Monday, December 19 to complete the requirements.
Important Deadline and Consequences
Failure to fully complete the requirements by midnight on December 19 may result in a formal disciplinary notice from the Institute.
