Georgia Tech Announces 2021 Annual Compliance Training Requirements: Don’t Miss Out!

As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting ethical behavior and upholding research integrity, Georgia Tech has launched its 2021 Annual Compliance Training program. The initiative aims to educate faculty, staff, and student employees on the University System of Georgia’s (USG) ethical standards, cybersecurity requirements, and foreign influence reporting.

About the Training Program

This year’s training modules are designed to reinforce the importance of Living Our Values at Georgia Tech and will be available in the fall, coinciding with Ethics Awareness Week. The four required modules include:

Required Modules

  • USG Ethics Training: A comprehensive overview of USG’s ethical standards and principles
  • Information Security/Cybersecurity Training: Essential guidance on protecting personal and institutional data from cyber threats
  • Georgia Tech Foreign Influence, Research Integrity, and Conflict of Interest Training: In-depth training on navigating foreign influence, maintaining research integrity, and managing conflicts of interest
  • Conflict of Interest Attestation: A certification process to confirm compliance with conflict of interest policies

Who Needs to Complete the Training?

All faculty, staff (including Tech Temps), and student employees hired prior to October 1, 2021, are mandated to complete these modules between October 25 and November 19. Failure to do so may result in a formal disciplinary notice from the Institute.

How to Complete the Training

The training can be completed on desktops or laptops and should take approximately 45 minutes to finish. Employees have the flexibility to complete the training at their own pace, without requiring consecutive sessions.
