Cybercrime on the Rise in Georgia: State’s Cyber Crime Center Works to Combat Threats

About the Georgia Cyber Crime Center

The G3C is a cutting-edge facility that provides investigative and forensic resources to local and state law enforcement agencies, as well as businesses and infrastructure across the state. Special Agents and Digital Forensic Investigators at the center use state-of-the-art equipment and training to investigate cyber-related criminal activity, including:

  • Online fraud
  • Computer and network intrusion
  • Proliferation of digital media

Training for Law Enforcement

The G3C also manages the GBI Cyber Crime Training Center, a unique facility that provides hands-on training for law enforcement officials. The academy covers a range of topics related to cybercrime, including:

  • Responding to incidents
  • Conducting investigations
  • Analyzing evidence

This specialized training enables first responders, investigators, and forensic analysts to quickly address and contain cyber-related threats.
