Liberia’s New Programme Specialist to Enhance Compliance Monitoring and Reporting

The incumbent will also be responsible for facilitating strategic programme planning, monitoring progress towards results, and evaluating programme effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

The Programme Specialist will work closely with the UNDP Liberia Country Office team, as well as government institutions, bi-lateral and multi-lateral donors, private sector, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to achieve the country’s development goals. The key responsibilities of the new Programme Specialist include:

  • Providing technical support to project managers in designing, monitoring, and evaluating projects
  • Developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation plans
  • Conducting regular data analysis and reporting on programme progress
  • Identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Statistics, Demography, Development Planning, Social Sciences or related field, with at least five years of relevant experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of development projects. The ideal candidate should also possess Prince2 training and certification, as well as experience in the usage of computers and office software packages.

Language Requirements

Fluency in English and the language of the duty station is required for this position.
