Belarus Takes Steps to Combat Corruption with EU’s Help

The Council of Europe has been working closely with Belarus to strengthen its anti-corruption mechanisms and promote good governance, as part of the Partnership for Good Governance Programme “Fight against corruption and fostering good governance/Fight against money-laundering”.

Recent Developments

Guide on General and Sectoral Corruption Risk Assessments

The Council of Europe recently provided Belarusian authorities with a comprehensive guide on general and sectoral corruption risk assessments. The guide addresses methodological issues underlying risk assessments in public sector institutions and provides practical guidance on how to design a risk assessment.

Corruption Risk Assessment Methodology Workshop

A workshop was organized in Minsk, bringing together representatives from various ministries and state bodies. Over 30 participants benefited from the training on corruption risk assessments, learning how to identify and mitigate potential corruption risks in their respective sectors.
