Croatia Commemorates International Fraud Awareness Week for First Time
Zagreb, Croatia - For the first time in Croatia, Deloitte Croatia and its partners are joining forces to tackle financial crime, fraud, and corruption as they commemorate International Fraud Awareness Week under the patronage of the Croatian Presidency.
Raising Awareness about Corruption and Fraud
The week-long initiative aims to raise awareness about exposure to corruption and fraud, prevention methods, and consequences. Experts from various fields will come together to discuss the challenges and trends in the fight against corruption.
History of International Fraud Awareness Week
International Fraud Awareness Week was established by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in 2000 to increase public knowledge of the risk of fraud. Since then, hundreds of organizations worldwide have joined the initiative to shine a spotlight on this global problem and promote anti-fraud awareness and prevention.
Event Program
The program includes several events, including:
- A general opening ceremony featuring the results of a student anti-corruption survey
- A workshop on behavioral ethics and compliance culture
- A central fraud conference
Participation is free of charge, making it accessible to everyone interested in learning more about fraud awareness.
