The Fiji Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) has reported a remarkable increase in the dissemination of intelligence products to law enforcement agencies and government ministries in 2022. According to the FIU’s Annual Report for 2022, the unit disseminated a total of 519 intelligence products.
Breakdown of Intelligence Products
The report highlights that these intelligence products include:
- 87 reports directly requested by local law enforcement agencies
- 131 financial data reports
- 82 credibility check reports
These reports provide valuable information on over 1,600 individuals and entities, including suspected criminals, terrorists, and organized crime groups.
