Finland Cracks Down on Financial Crime with New Prevention Strategies
A Comprehensive Approach to Community Safety
In a bid to tackle financial crime and improve community safety, the Finnish Government has launched a comprehensive national crime prevention programme. The “Working Together for Safer and More Secure Communities” initiative, adopted in 2016, brings together various stakeholders from public authorities, businesses, non-governmental organisations, and residents to prevent crime and enhance security.
