Compliance Training Mandatory for Georgia Employees; Deadline Approaches

The University System of Georgia (USG) and Georgia Tech are emphasizing the importance of ethics, research integrity, and cybersecurity compliance with their annual training program. The 2020 Annual Compliance Training aims to reinforce USG’s ethical standards and cybersecurity requirements while educating employees on navigating foreign influence and reporting external activities.

Fall Training Schedule

This year, the training will take place in the fall to coincide with Ethics Awareness Week, a timely reminder of the significance of ethics in our daily work lives.

Required Modules

Faculty, staff, including Tech Temps, and student employees hired prior to October 1, 2020, are required to complete four critical modules:

  • USG Ethics Training
  • Information Security/Cybersecurity Training
  • Georgia Tech Foreign Influence, Research Integrity, and Conflict of Interest Training
  • Conflict of Interest Attestation

Important Deadline

It is essential that all employees complete these modules between October 26 and November 16. Failure to do so by midnight on November 16 may result in formal disciplinary notice from the Institute, as well as revocation of network access.

Completing the Training

The training can be completed on a desktop or laptop and should take approximately 45 minutes to finish. Employees have the flexibility to complete the modules at their own pace, without having to sit through a single session.
