Compliance Training Mandated for Georgia Employees: Deadline Extended to December 19
As part of its ongoing commitment to ethical standards and compliance with University System of Georgia policies, the Georgia Institute of Technology has announced that all active employees are required to complete the 2022 Annual Compliance Training. This training aims to educate employees on exercising sound ethical judgment, acting with integrity and transparency, and understanding their role in upholding policy compliance obligations.
Who is Required to Complete the Training?
- Effective October 17, all faculty, staff, Tech Temps, retired-but-working, and student employees hired before October 3, 2022, must complete the comprehensive training program.
What Does the Training Cover?
The modules cover a range of critical topics, including:
- Effective Global Engagement
- Export Control and Trade Compliance
- External Activity Reporting and Conflict of Interest/COI Attestation
- Identifying and Responding to Sexual Misconduct
- Data Excellence
- University System of Georgia Ethics Training
- Cybersecurity Awareness Training 2022/Your Role: Internet Security and You
How to Complete the Training
- The training can be completed on desktop or laptop devices.
- It may take up to 2.5 hours to complete, but employees have the flexibility to finish the modules at their own pace.
Important Deadline
All requirements must be fulfilled by midnight on December 19. Failure to comply with this mandate may result in formal disciplinary action from the Institute.
