Georgia Launches Fall Biannual Compliance Training for All Employees

The University System of Georgia (USG) is set to launch its 2024 Fall Biannual Compliance Training on August 1, requiring all active faculty, staff, and student employees to complete the training by August 28 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.

What’s Included in the Training?

The compliance training program consists of three parts:

  • Part 1: University System of Georgia (USG) Ethics Refresher, USG Campus Security Authority Training, and Ethics in Action at Georgia Tech
  • Part 2: Push Notification Abuse
  • Part 3: Internet Security and You

Timeline and Deadlines

  • Active employees as of July 1 will be enrolled in the training by July 30.
  • The training period begins on August 1 and ends on August 28.
  • Softlocks to Georgia Tech systems for employees who have not completed the training will begin on August 31 and end on September 29.

Important Reminders

  • HR partners and people leaders are advised to remove anyone who is not working or will not be working after July 29 from the HCM system in OneUSG Connect.
  • Email reminders will be sent to employees during the training period as well as the lockout period.
  • Managers will have access to reports showing direct reports who have not completed the training, and regular reports will be sent to executive leadership.

Disciplinary Action

This year’s compliance training period is shorter than last fall’s, and disciplinary notices will be issued to those who do not complete the training in a timely manner.
