Compliance Risk Management Training Boosts Gambia Revenue Authority

Strengthening Risk Management Capabilities

The Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) has received online assistance from the World Customs Organization (WCO) to enhance its risk management capabilities. The training, which took place between June 8 and 11, 2020, aimed to equip GRA trainers with the necessary skills to deliver high-quality training sessions based on international standards and best practices.

Objectives of the Workshop

  • Equip GRA trainers with the necessary skills to deliver high-quality training sessions
  • Prepare the GRA Customs Department to respond effectively to challenges in the international trade environment
  • Strengthen risk management capabilities within the organization

Funding and Technical Support

The workshop was funded by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and conducted by accredited WCO Risk Management Experts. The Commissioner General of the GRA, Yankuba Darboe, extended gratitude to GIZ and WCO for their funding and technical support.
