Georgia Tech Employees Required to Complete Annual Compliance Training by December 19

As part of its efforts to promote sound ethical judgment and integrity among its employees, Georgia Institute of Technology is mandating annual compliance training for all active staff members.

Purpose of the Training

The training aims to educate employees on their responsibility in adhering to the University System of Georgia’s and the institute’s policies and compliance obligations. The modules cover a range of topics, including:

  • Effective global engagement
  • Export control and trade compliance
  • External activity reporting and conflict of interest attestation
  • Identifying and responding to sexual misconduct
  • Data excellence
  • University System of Georgia ethics training
  • Cybersecurity awareness training

Who Needs to Complete the Training?

All faculty, staff, Tech Temps, retired-but-working, and student employees hired before October 3, 2022 are required to complete this year’s training modules.

How to Complete the Training

The training can be completed on desktop or laptop computers and is estimated to take up to 2.5 hours to complete. Employees are allowed to break the training into multiple sessions and do not need to finish it in one sitting.

Deadline for Completion

The deadline to complete the training has been extended to December 19. However, employees who fail to fully complete the requirements by midnight on that date may receive a formal disciplinary notice from the institute.
