GhanaWeb exclusive: Two individuals have been arrested by Ghanaian security agencies for allegedly using WhatsApp to steal money from a US-based Ghanaian. The suspects, whose identities are yet to be revealed, are currently in police custody, being interrogated over the fraudulent activities.
Crime News: Other Developments
- A salesgirl was sentenced to prison after being found guilty of stealing GH¢21,787 from a store in Dormaa. The incident happened in December 2020 and was uncovered during a store audit.
- In an unrelated development, four individuals were granted GH¢800,000 bail for attempting to cross the railway tracks during train operations near Tema on January 17, 2021. Three civilians were involved in the accident.

- The clash between civilians and the police was sparked during the celebration of the National Farmers’ Day in the town.
